Taskee vs Trello: boards, limits and what each one costs
Trello Free allows 10 boards and 10 collaborators per Workspace, and Trello is the cheapest paid product in this comparison — Standard is $5 per user per month billed annually. Taskee is free for an unlimited number of users with up to 10 GB of storage. The practical difference is which ceiling you hit first: on Trello it is usually the board count, not the head count.
Both are board-first tools. Taskee adds native time tracking and reports; Trello adds Power-Ups, automation and the Atlassian ecosystem around it.

Where Taskee is stronger
- No board limit and no collaborator limit. Trello Free stops at 10 boards and 10 collaborators per Workspace; teams that run one board per client or per sprint reach that quickly. Taskee does not count either.
- Time tracking on the tasks themselves. Trello has no native tracker — time tracking means adding a Power-Up. Taskee tracks task time and work hours natively, with manual entry: time tracking.
- Reports come with the product, including CSV export, rather than arriving through a Power-Up or a Premium view.
Where Trello is stronger
- Cheapest step up in this set. Standard is $5 per user per month billed annually ($6 monthly), Premium $10 ($12.50 monthly), Enterprise $17.50 annually. Nothing else compared here starts that low.
- Power-Ups without a limit even on the free plan, plus 250 automation runs per month. Taskee has no automation and no plugin system.
- Unlimited storage on the free plan, with a 10 MB per-file cap. Taskee’s ceiling is a total of 10 GB.
- iOS and Android apps, listed on the free plan, and a mature ecosystem around Atlassian.
Who should choose Taskee
- You are past 10 boards, or you will be within the year.
- You need hours per task and a report at the end of the month without adding a paid add-on.

What Taskee does not have yet
Taskee is a young product and the honest list of what it does not do is short but real, as of 2 September 2026:
- No standalone mobile app. The FAQ says it plainly: Taskee is adapted for the mobile browser and can be saved to the home screen, but there is no iOS or Android app.
- No native connectors. There is a documented REST API with 140 endpoints and a published OpenAPI 3.0 specification, plus CSV export, but no ready-made Slack, Google or Jira integration and no webhooks — see Taskee integrations.
- No Gantt chart or timeline view.
- No automation rules.
- Several features are marked “Soon” on the site — project budgeting, quick tasks, personal projects, custom reports and others. Roadmap is not delivery, and nothing on this page counts them as shipped.
The limit that actually bites
Trello’s free plan is generous where most people look — unlimited cards, unlimited storage, an
unlimited activity log — and tight where they do not: 10 boards and 10 collaborators per Workspace, with
10 MB per file attachment. Agencies and studios that open a board per client hit that first ceiling long before
the tenth teammate arrives. The escape is Standard at $5 per user per month billed annually.
Taskee counts neither boards nor people. It caps total storage at 10 GB and it has no paid tier, which is
the trade: fewer features, no ceiling on the two dimensions that usually force an upgrade.
What replaces Power-Ups
Trello extends through Power-Ups. Taskee does not have a plugin system and ships no native connectors; what
it publishes instead is a REST API with 140 endpoints and an OpenAPI 3.0 specification, plus CSV export for
reports. That is enough to move data in and out or to build a bridge to another tool, and it is not the same
thing as installing an add-on in two clicks — see integrations.
